Cass swim team outkicks Colts

The Cass High School swim team defeated Coahuila Creek Tuesday night in a head-to-head competition at the Adairsville High pool.

Cass finished with 235 points in the 24 events while the visiting Colts totaled 112.

Event winners for the Colonels included:

— Girls 200-yard freestyle relay — Jimena Perez, Monica Martinez, Addison Doolittle, and Stacia Zappoli

— Girls 100-yard breaststroke — Sinclair Foy

— Girls 400-yard freestyle relay — Stacia Zappoli, Monica Martinez, Jimena Perez, and Addison Doolittle

— Boys 200-yard medley relay — Jake Wright, Vy Lam, Brandon Santana, and Manny Reyes

— Boys 200-yard individual medley — Brandon Santana

— Boys 100-yard butterfly — Brandon Santana

— Boys 100-yard freestyle — Manny Reyes

— Boys 200-yard freestyle relay — Brandon Santana, Manny Reyes, Adam Pierce, and Jake Wright

— Boys 100-yard backstroke — D’Angelo Pham

— Boys 400-yard freestyle relay — Justin Swinford, Brandon Silva-Escuen, Eliceo Silva-Escuen, and Jordan Russell

The next meet for Cass is Tuesday versus Cartersville at the Adairsville pool.

The meet will begin at 5:30 p.m. and both teams will be recognizing their 2022-23 seniors.
