Causby's hat trick lifts Lady Tigers to win at Murray County

Elle Causby recorded a hat trick for Adairsville as the Lady Tigers blanked Murray County 5-0 Thursday night in Chatsworth.

Causby scored two minutes into the match and added a second goal just before halftime. The sophomore added to the Lady Tigers’ advantage with a third goal in the 51st-minute.

Seventeen minutes later, Causby made an assist on Megan Hardin’s goal for a 4-0 lead and Kaylee Jordan added the Tigers’ fifth goal with three minutes remaining.

Hardin and Jordan along with Emma Collins and Sam Pasley contributed one assist each.

Adairsville (8-2-1, 4-2) managed to control play most of the evening and keeper Annie McCormick recorded the shutout.

The Lady Tigers host Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe next Thursday, March 24.

The Tigers dropped a 2-1 decision at Murray County Thursday night slipping to 4-9 on the season and 1-5 in Region 6-AAA. Adairsville hosts LFO Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m.
