Chargers open series with home win over Andrew College

The Georgia Highlands College baseball team won its fourth straight conference game Wednesday, securing an 8-2 home win over the Andrew College Tigers.
David McKechnie (7 IP, 1ER, 4H, 1BB, 12K) was strong on the mound in the Chargers’ pitching start and struck out 12. Matthew Perkins (1 IP, 1ER, 2H, 1BB, 1K) and Jack Burns (1 IP, 0R, 0H, 1BB, 1K) closed out the final two frames on the bump.
Emiliano Dominguez paced the Georgia Highlands offense with three hits, including two solo home runs. Caden Marcos (home run, two RBI), Aidan Larkin (double, RBI), Mason Moore, and Harper Davenport each produced two hits. Kenton Collier (RBI) and Hayden Miller added one hit apiece.
The Chargers (27-8, 7-1 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association) visit Andrew College (10-17, 1-6) on Friday for a single game and Saturday for a doubleheader to complete the four-game conference series.
