In the fifth inning, Lacey Rutledge doubled home Marcotte and Taryn Hitchcock as the Chargers built a 6-1 advantage.

Georgia Military scored a run in the bottom of the sixth and added a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh that cut the lead to 6-5.

GHC relief pitcher Maggie Schandera closed out the threat however, by inducing a pair of ground ball outs to secure the one-run win.
