Chargers sweep DH with Tennessee Wesleyan JV


Georgia Highlands swept a baseball doubleheader with Tennessee Wesleyan JV Monday winning 15-4 and 17-0.

The Chargers pounded out 29 hits, including 11 extra base hits in the pair of five-inning wins.

Palmer Sapp finished the doubleheader with four hits including a triple, a double, and six RBIs. Brandon Prince had four hits including a pair of home runs and four RBIs and Connor Todaro had a three hit day for the Chargers.

GHC (19-3) utilized six different pitchers in the two wins. The Chargers’ staff allowed only four earned runs and six hits while striking out 11 Bulldogs.

Georgia Highlands hosts Walters State Tuesday in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. and will entertain Andrew College Saturday in a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
