Chargers sweep Lancers, extend win streak to 14

Barrett Eldridge homered, doubled, and had four RBIs in five hits during Sunday's doubleheader sweep of USC Lancaster.

Georgia Highlands Baseball completed a four-game weekend sweep of USC Lancaster on Sunday and extended their current win streak to 14 games with a pair of five-inning wins.


The Chargers won Sunday’s first game 11-1 and took Game 2, 10-0.


Pitchers Chandler Anderson (4 IP, 1ER, 4H, 3BB, 8K) and Oliver Wood (3.2 IP, 0R, 4H, 3BB, 7K) collected their fourth wins of the season. Andrew Arnold (0.2 IP, 0R, 1K), Logan Spivey (0.2 IP, 0R, 1H, 1BB, 2K), and Brodie Chestnutt (1 IP, 0R, 0H, 2BB, 1K) pitched in relief.


Barrett Eldridge had five hits on Sunday including one home run, one double, and four RBIs. Trevor Lovett followed with four hits and one RBI. Will Cawthon contributed three hits with one home run, one double, and four RBIs.


Luke Orfi (RBI), Ali Banks (double, three RBIs), Ryan Wideman (RBI), and Davis Newman (double, RBI) had two hits. Gray Wilson added one hit in the doubleheader.


USC Lancaster dropped to 16-9 on the season.


Georgia Highlands (26-2) hosts Roane State CC on Thursday for a noon doubleheader.
