Colonels play Bruins to a 1-1 draw

The Cass boys soccer team tied visiting Northwest Whitfield Thursday night at Cochran Stadium, 1-1.
The Bruins led 1-0 at the intermission but an Alex Hernandez second-half goal knotted the score and the two non-region opponents finished in a tie.
The Colonels (2-0-1) visit Ringgold on Tuesday.
NORTHWEST WHITFIELD 9, CASS GIRLS 0
The Northwest Whitfield girls scored seven first-half goals Thursday night and won at Cass, 9-0.
The visiting Bruins improved to 1-0. The Cass girls slipped to 0-2.
Cass returns to action next Tuesday at Ringgold.
