In conjunction with WBHF and Bartow Sports Zone, Elite Stone Supply presents the ELITE ATHLETES OF THE MONTH. Each month, local high schools select an Elite Athlete of the Month from their varsity programs and share the information about their honoree through Bartow Sports Zone and on 100.3 FM and AM 1450, WBHF in Cartersville.

David Coon is the December 2025 Elite Athlete of the Month representing Adairsville High School.


A senior on the Tigers’ wrestling team competing in the 175-pound weight class, Coon plans to continue his athletic career and study Business Economics in college.


“David has had a fantastic season so far,” noted Adairsville wrestling coach Spencer Jones. He shows up every day with a good attitude and a great work ethic. He is a true leader and a good example of what a Tiger athlete should be.”

Ethan Harrington is the Cass High School Elite Athlete of the Month for December 2025.


A senior and four-year wrestler for the Colonels, he is the son of Brooke and Lee Harrington.


“Ethan was an important part of both the traditional and dual state championship teams the past two seasons,” said Cass wrestling coach D.L. Koontz. “He has been a team leader on and off the mat this season. He is extremely hard-working and disciplined, and will continue to do great things after he leaves high school.”


Harrington is a multiple-time state tournament qualifier and placed fifth at last year’s traditional state meet. This season, he won the Gauntlet in Gray tournament at Jones County, finished third at the Creekview Invitational, fourth at the Lassiter Invitational, and was undefeated in his bouts at the Region 7-AAAA duals.


He has a 4.0 GPA and is ranked eleventh academically in his senior class. He is the founding member of the Cass High robotics team and has been accepted to both the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, where he will major in Engineering.

Destiny Jackson is the December 2025 Elite Athlete of the Month for Woodland High School.


The daughter of Jessica Miles and Nathaniel Jackson, Destiny is a freshman point guard on the Lady Cats’ basketball team and will also run track.


“Destiny is our primary ball handler,” stated Woodland girls’ basketball coach Whitney Wissing. “She has been our leading scorer and rebounder, recording six double-doubles already this season. She works hard in practice, has a positive attitude, and is extremely coachable. Destiny exemplifies what it means to be a Lady Cat.”

Wyatt Thomason is the Cartersville High School Elite Athlete of the Month for December 2025.


A senior guard on the Canes’ basketball team, Thomason leads the team in rebounding and assists. He is scoring in double figures and was voted team co-captain for his leadership characteristics.


“Wyatt is an extremely hard worker on and off the floor,” said Cartersville boys’ basketball coach Mike Tobin. “He is a positive role model for all of our younger players in the program. He has a bright future.”


Thomason is dual-enrolled with Georgia Highlands College and has offers to play basketball collegiately.


He is the son of Wesley Thomason and Erica Clayton.
