Eagles soar to home win over Galloway

Evan Chappell scored 22 points, and Kaiyu Huffman added 20 Thursday night in Emerson as the Excel Christian Academy boys beat visiting Galloway 81-63.

Kamarion Profit added 15 points for the Eagles in the victory.

The Eagles led 19-6 after one quarter and carried a 35-18 advantage to the intermission.

The Scots (0-2) were led by JJ Paige, who scored 21 points, and JB Clark, who scored 13.

Excel (4-2) hosts Cornerstone Prep Academy on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
