Excel Christian defeats Berean Academy

Eight runs in the bottom of the first inning launched the Excel Christian Academy Eagles to a 13-2 home win Monday over Berean Academy.

Gavin Dyson paced the ECA offense with four hits and two RBIs. Cameron Adams (double, two RBIs) and David Jinks (two RBIs) contributed two hits. Jacob Jinks (two RBIs), Kamarion Profit (double, two RBIs), Kohl Williams (two RBIs), Jayden Jinks (RBI), and Jacob Childers added one hit.

David Jinks (2 IP, 0R, 3H, 1BB, 3K) was credited with the pitching win. Williams (2.2 IP, 2ER, 7H, 1K) and Jacob Jinks (0.1 IP, 2BB, 1K) also pitched.

Berean Academy slipped to 4-5 on the season.

Excel (4-8, 2-3 GAPPS I-A Region 1) hosts Johnson Ferry Christian Academy on Tuesday and Oakwood Christian on Thursday.
