Excel Christian girls drop season opener as program plays its first game since the 2016-17 season
The Excel Christian Academy girls' basketball program played its first game since the 2016-17 season Friday night and dropped a 72-19 decision at Central Christian School in Sharpsburg.
The host Crusaders (1-2) led 22-4 after one quarter and 42-6 at the intermission.
Natalie Schneider led five Central players in double-figure scoring with 16 points.
Chae Vieira scored 12 points for the Lady Eagles and Amanda Davidson added seven.
Excel Christian (0-1) hosts Oakwood Christian of Chickamauga Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
