Excel wins at Atlanta International

The Excel Christian Academy boys basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter Saturday evening to win at Atlanta International, 63-30.

Kalil Holley scored 21 points for the Eagles followed by Rashard Doyal with 19 and Jakaden Barkely with 12 points. Blake Bailey added nine for ECA. Excel led 13-4 after one quarter, 28-14 at halftime, and extended the lead to 38-22 after three quarters. The Eagles then outscored AIA 25-8 in the fourth quarter to pull away. Harris Britton and Dylan Palenik scored eight points apiece for Atlanta International. ECA plays at Harrison Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., at Atlanta Jewish Academy Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and at Cherokee Christian Friday at 4 p.m.
