Georgia Highlands baseball wins at Andrew College with a 21-run outburst

Georgia Highlands College baseball unloaded 21 runs on 17 hits Friday to win the second game of a four-game series at Andrew College in Cuthbert.


The host Tigers led 2-0 after one inning and had the game tied 5-5 through three innings, but the Chargers scored 13 runs in the top of the fourth to take control of the game.


Noah McMahon (3 IP, 5R, 4ER, 7H, 1BB, 2K) collected the pitching win in an abbreviated start. Braxton Wade (2 IP, 0R, 0H, 1BB, 2K), Calvin Koo (1 IP, 1ER, 1H), and Alex Karst (1 IP, 0R, 1H, 1K) closed out the victory on the mound.


Emiliano Dominguez (four RBI), Andrew Bishop (double, triple, four RBI), and Aidan Larkin (double) led the Chargers with three hits each. Mason Moore (three RBI) and Wyatt Gatlin (two doubles, one RBI) finished with two hits. Carson Page (home run, three RBI), Harper Davenport (solo home run), Hayden Miller (RBI), and Caden Marcos (home run, two RBI) added one hit for GHC.


Georgia Highlands (28-8, 8-1 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association) and Andrew College (10-18, 1-7) play a doubleheader on Saturday in Cuthbert at 1 p.m. The Chargers return home for a 3 p.m. start against South Georgia State on Tuesday.
