GHC baseball completes series sweep of Tigers, improves to 30-8

The Georgia Highlands College Chargers completed a four-game series sweep of the Andrew College Tigers on Saturday by winning both games of a doubleheader in Cuthbert.
GHC won the first game on Saturday, 8-2, and took the series finale, 20-11.
Kaiden Krak (4.1 IP, 1ER, 2H, 4BB, 6K) was the winning pitcher in Saturday’s first game. Jack Burns (2.2 IP, 1R, 0ER, 1H, 0BB, 5K) closed out the final 2-⅔ innings for the Chargers.
Four different Georgia Highlands pitchers worked in Saturday’s second game. Matthew Perkins (3 IP, 5R, 4ER, 6H, 1BB, 1K) made the start. Reed Thursby (0.0 IP, 2ER, 2BB), Marshall Flowers (0.1 IP, 3ER, 3H, 1BB), and Heath Whitlock (3.2 IP, 1R, 0ER, 2H, 1BB, 5K) pitch in relief.
Carson Page (two home runs, six RBI) led the Chargers’ offense in the doubleheader with six hits. Caden Marcos (double, RBI) had four hits. Andrew Bishop (two home runs, six RBI) and Aidan Larkin (double, two RBI) followed with three hits. Wyatt Gatlin (home run, double, four RBI), Oakley Willingham (double, three RBI), Hayden Miller (double, sac fly, two RBI), and Ian Fullerton (RBI) contributed two hits on the day. Emiliano Dominguez (two RBI) and Mason Moore each added one hit.
The losses left the Tigers with a 10-20 overall record and a 1-9 mark in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
Georgia Highlands (30-8, 10-1) has a break in the schedule, returning to action on Tuesday, March 31, at South Georgia State College.
