GHC completes sweep of Macomb CC

Georgia Highands baseball completed a three-game sweep of Macomb CC (Michigan) Monday afternoon at LakePoint defeating the Monarchs 7-3 for the Chargers seventh consecutive win.

Conner Todaro had four hits for GHC including a home run, a double, and three RBIs.

Conner Perry (7 IP, 2R, 1ER, 3H, 0BB, 11K) earned the pitching win with 11 strikeouts in a seven inning start. Ryan Suppa (0.1 IP, 1ER, 2H, 1K), Keegan Pulford-Thorpe (0.1 IP), Hunter Goodwin (0.1 IP, 1K), and Chandler Wood (1 IP, 1K) all pitched in relief for the Chargers.

Zayd Brannigan (double, RBI), Mitchell Walker, and David Smith (RBI) contributed two hits each to the Georgia Highlands’ attack. Mick Moody (RBI), Ben Olson, and Austin Tienda (double, RBI) added one hit apiece.

The Chargers (23-2) will host Cleveland State CC Tuesday afternoon and Brewton Parker College in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at LakePoint before embarking on a 25-game GCAA conference schedule beginning next week.
