GHC drops a softball DH at Georgia Military College

Georgia Highlands Softball lost both games of a doubleheader Thursday at Georgia Military College.


The Bulldogs won the opening game 8-0 and won 14-6 in the second game.


GMC scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning of Game 1 to take control and pitcher H Daughtry scattered three hits and three walks to earn a shutout win.


The Bulldogs started quickly in Game 2 also. The hosts scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and added on over the final three frames to win in five innings.


Cayden Warren had two hits and three RBIs in the two games for the Lady Chargers. Avrey Fisher and Ansley Farmer also had two hits in the doubleheader.


Georgia Military evened their season record to 11-11. The Bulldogs start conference play 2-0.


Georgia Highlands (3-18, 0-2) will host a GCAA conference doubleheader on Tuesday with East Georgia State CC.
