GHC drops second straight to East Georgia College

Georgia Highlands baseball dropped a second straight conference game to East Georgia College Friday night, falling 8-4.


The Bobcats scored six runs in their first three frames and never trailed as they outhit the Chargers sixteen to eleven.


The losing pitcher was Michael Sharman (6 IP, 7R, 5ER, 13H, 2BB, 3K). Kyle Stephenson (1 IP, 0R, 1H, 2BB, 1K) and Declan Dun (1 IP, 1ER, 2H, 1K) pitched in relief for GHC.


Every player in the Chargers’ lineup had at least one hit led by Luke Orfi and Grayson Godbee with two hits. Will Cawthon (two RBIs), Davis Newman (RBI), Barrett Eldridge (RBI), Ryan Wideman, Gray Wilson, Ali Banks, and Trevor Lovett added one hit.


The Chargers (31-5, 3-3) will look to split the series on Saturday in a doubleheader at Swainsboro.
