GHC softball season ends with losses at conference tourney

The Georgia Highlands College softball team had their 2023 campaign come to a close Thursday with a pair of narrow losses at the double-elimination GCAA conference tournament held at Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, Georgia.

The Chargers lost to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College 11-10 in the opening round and then fell to Georgia Military College 8-7 in an elimination game.

ABAC posted seven runs over the final three frames for a come-from-behind win over the Chargers. Later, GMC held off the Chargers late to eliminate Georgia Highlands.

Georgia Highlands finished the season with a 20-30 record.
