GHC softball skid continues

The Georgia Highlands softball losing streak reached nine games Tuesday afternoon with a pair of losses to visiting Bevil State CC. 


The Bears won the opener 12-7 and took Game 2, 21-12.


Grace Kendrick (7 IP, 12R, 11ER, 15H, 3BB, 3K) was tagged with the pitching loss in the first game. Hayden Joyner (5 IP, 13R, 8ER, 14H, 3BB, 3K) was the Game 2 losing pitcher. Kendrick (2 IP, 5R, 3ER, 5H, 3BB, 3K) also pitched in Game 2.


Ally Graden (home run, two doubles, four RBIs), Aliza Martinez (double, two RBIs), and Cailey Barnett (double, three RBIs) had four hits in the doubleheader for the Lady Chargers. Haylee Dishmon (three RBIs) followed with three hits. Avery Fisher had two hits including a triple. Kendrick and Raegan Ford had two hits and one RBI each.


Georgia Highlands (2-9) hosts Cleveland State CC on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
