Cartersville shut out Woodland in a Region 7-4A contest on Wednesday, while Adairsville added to its victory total with a forfeit.

Cartersville pitcher Presley Crabbe tossed a five-inning, two-hit shutout Wednesday evening to blank visiting Woodland 11-0.
Ashlyn Baines and Kamryn Smith had the base hits for the Lady Cats.
Evie Tucker (2.2 IP, 9R, 4ER, 8H, 1BB, 1K) and Bella Kuykendall (1.1 IP, 2ER, 3H, 0BB, 1K) shared the pitching responsibilities for Woodland.
Sophia Harper (double, sac fly, five RBI) led the Cartersville offense with two hits. Miley Jo Williams (home run, three RBI), Suzannah Russell (double, RBI), Crabbe (RBI), Kennedy Crenshaw, Taryn Bradley (double), Zoie Shiflett (double), Kinsey Woodard, and LaKiaya Banks added one hit.
Woodland (2-7, 1-5) hosts Dalton on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Cartersville (13-2, 7-2) travels to Southeast Whitfield on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. start.
ADAIRSVILLE 7, HAMPTON 0 (forfeit)
The Lady Tigers (8-4, 3-3) picked up a non-region win on Wednesday by forfeit. Adairsville hosts Mount Zion-Carroll on Thursday at 5 p.m.
