Lady Canes blanked in non-region loss
LaFayette pitcher Ava Brown limited the visiting Lady Canes’ lineup to only three hits Monday night as the Ramblers blanked Cartersville, 11-0, in five innings.
LaFayette scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning, added five more in the third, and one more in the fourth inning for their 11-run total.
Kiley Arnold, Jordan Bishop, and Campbell Rogers had one hit each for Cartersville.
Arnold (4 IP, 11R, 6ER, 8H, 4BB, 2K) suffered the pitching loss.
LaFayette improved to 14-3-1 win their non-region win.
Cartersville (10-7-1, 8-1) returns home Tuesday to square off with Calhoun (16-4, 8-1) in a Region 7-5A matchup between the two teams tied atop the league standings.
