North Cobb narrowed Cartersville’s lead to 5-4 in the third inning Wednesday evening at Dellinger Park, but the Lady Canes exploded for eleven runs in the fourth to close out the visiting Warriors, 16-4.
Zoie Shiflett pitched all four innings for Cartersville and did not allow an earned run. She limited North Cobb to four hits and two walks while striking out six.
Allana Williams had three hits for the Canes, including a double and three RBI. Kennedy Crenshaw (double, four RBI), Taryn Bradley (two RBI), and Izzy Tummins (double) each had two hits. Zoie Shiflett (home run, three RBI), Avaree Sellers (RBI), and Sam Porter each added one hit. Sophia Harper and LaKiaya Banks each contributed one RBI.
The loss dropped North Cobb to 0-4 on the season.
Cartersville (7-0) plays at Harrison on Thursday at 7 p.m.
