Lady Canes, Lady Colonels blank opponents

Pressley Crabbe tossed a three-hit shutout while Kennedy Crenshaw and Jordan Bishop homered Tuesday evening as Cartersville won at Woodland, 8-0.
The Lady Canes scored three runs in the first two innings to take control and added single runs in the third and fifth innings to close the game.
Crabbe scattered three hits and three walks while striking out six.
Lakaiya Banks had two hits for Cartersville. Kinsey Woodard, Reese Dumas, and Layne Callan added one hit.
Bitsy Hartsfield, Alana Carnes, and Mackenzie Araya had one hit each for the Lady Cats.
Kamryn Smith (3.1 IP, 7ER, 7H, 1BB) was charged with the pitching loss for Woodland. Gracie Korb (1.2 IP, 1ER, 0H, 4BB) also pitched for the Wildcats.
Cartersville (12-2, 10-0) steps outside Region 7-4A play on Wednesday to visit Harrison.
Woodland (3-8, 3-7) hosts Dalton on Thursday.
CASS 14, SOUTHEAST WHITFIELD 0
The Lady Colonels put eight runs on the scoreboard in the first inning and six more in the third on Tuesday night to beat visiting Southeast Whitfield in four innings, 14-0.
Kylie Gentry (3 IP, 0R, 1H, 2BB, 5K) and Lily Powell (1 IP, 0R, 1H, 1K) shared the Cass pitching duties.
Eight Colonels had at least one hit.
Molli Morrow (two RBI), Bailey York (two RBI), and KK Evans (RBI) had two hits each. Harlee Thomason (double, three RBI), Darianna Sosa (triple, two RBI), Sydney Satterfield (RBI), Braelyn Franklin (RBI), and Cayce Brown (double) added one hit for the Lady Colonels.
Southeast Whitfield remained winless at 0-13 overall and 0-9 in Region 7-4A.
Cass (8-5, 6-4) visits Hiram on Thursday.
