Lady Canes win gymnastics quad meet

The Cartersville High gymnastics team won a quad-meet at Lovett on Monday, defeating Mount Vernon, King’s Ridge, and the host Lions. Emerie Elrod finished second and scored a 9.05 on the vault to qualify for the GHSA state preliminary. She was also second in floor exercise with an 8.45. Sydney Jackson was first on balance beam with an 8.50, second on bars with an 8.10, and third on vault with an 8.70. Kyndal Shook finished third on bars with a 7.35. The Lady Canes host their final meet of the season on April 12 at the Cartersville Twisters facility.
