Lady Cats play Kell to a 1-1 draw

Playing in the cold evening with a light drizzle, the Woodland girls soccer team played Kell to a 1-1 draw Friday night in Cobb County.

Tiera Feanny scored the Lady Cats’ goal in the 17th minute but the Lady Longhorns knotted the score at 1-1 with 1:40 remaining in the first half.

“The girls worked hard,” said Woodland coach Nicole Heiser. “The team worked well together and only had a couple of subs for the game. It was our third game of the week, so I’m proud of the determination and heart that went into this one.”

Woodland (2-1-1) hosts Kennesaw Mountain next Friday, February 19.
