Lady Colonels romp at Gilmer
Cass softball hammered out sixteen hits Friday night on the road and cruised to an 18-3 win at the Gilmer Bobcats.
Darianna Sosa led the Colonels’ offense with five hits including two homers, two doubles, and seven RBIs. KK Evans followed with four hits including a triple and three RBIs.
Cayce Brown finished with two hits including a double and four RBIs. Braelyn Franklin also had two hits and one RBI. Reese Howard (double, RBI), Harlee Thomason (RBI), and Tinsley Evans (RBI) added one hit each.
Lily Powell (6 IP, 3R, 2ER, 4H, 3BB, 1K) picked up the pitching win for Cass by working all six innings.
Cass (6-12, 2-7) returns to region play Tuesday at 9th-ranked Woodland.
