Adairsville hurler Chloe Hill tossed a seven-inning complete-game shutout Wednesday evening, blanking visiting Paulding County, 7-0. She scattered three hits and four walks while recording five strikeouts.
The Lady Tigers scored single runs in four of the first five innings and put the game out of reach with three insurance runs in the sixth. Adairsville outhit the Patriots 12-3.
Lily Brookshire paced the Tigers’ offense with three hits, including a homer and three RBI. Hynleigh Statham (two RBI), Hill (RBI), and Ashlynn Durden (double) each contributed two hits. Ansley Powell, Heidi Rickett, and Paislee Rooks each added one hit. Sydney Satterfield drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
Adairsville (1-1) travels to Southeast Whitfield on Thursday and hosts Whitefield Academy on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
