Lady Tigers blast Gordon Central

Adairsville softball needed only three innings Wednesday night to defeat visiting Gordon Central, 15-0.

The Lady Tigers pounded out a dozen hits and took advantage of five errors by the Warriors.

Chloe Hill struck out six, allowed one hit, and had no walks to earn the shutout pitching victory.

Maddie Baggett (two RBI), Ansley Powell (triple, two RBI), McKenzly Atkins (RBI), and Hill (RBI) had two hits for Adairsville. Cadey Evans (double, three RBI), Lillianne Gunter (RBI), Ashlyn Carlton, and Amanda Matthews added one hit.

The loss dropped Gordon Central to 1-18 on the season.

Adairsville (11-10, 3-9 in Region 7-3A) plays a non-region game Saturday at Woodland at 10 a.m.
