Lady Tigers defeat Gilmer

The Adairsville tennis teams split home region matches with Gilmer on Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers won 4-1, but the Adairsville boys lost 3-2 to the Bobcats. The Adairsville girls finished fourth in the region, and the Tigers finished fifth.

Line 3 — Camdyn Collin won 6-2, 2-6, 6-1

Line 1 — Sophie Hovatter/Gio Marroquin lost 3-6, 1-6

Line 2 — Allison Potter/Caroline O'Kelley won 6-2, 6-0

GILMER 3, ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 2

Line 1 — Braden Mathis won 7-6 (7-4 tiebreak), 6-0

Line 2 — Caleb Sorrell lost 3-6, 0-6

Line 3 — Beckett Collin lost 2-6, 5-7

Line 1 — Caleb Black/Canyon East won 4-6, 6-1, 6-3

Line 2 — Grason McKinney/Aaron McKinney lost 3-6, 7-5, 4-6

The Adairsville teams will return to action on April 15-16 at Lakeshore Tennis Center in Dalton for the Region 7-AAA tournament.
