Lady Tigers extend winning streak

Adairsville softball scored in all four offensive frames on Monday evening to rout visiting Southeast Whitfield, 11-1.

The non-region victory for Adairsville was the Tigers’ fifth straight.

Jordan Clay picked up the pitching victory for the Lady Tigers. She allowed one unearned run on one hit and two walks while striking out six.

Maddie Baggett (two RBI), Ashlyn Carlton (triple), and Alivia Joslin (RBI) had two hits for Adairsville. Ansley Powell (triple, three RBI), Riley Mounger (double, RBI), and Taylor Evans added one hit.

Adairsville (9-5, 2-4) returns to Region 7-3A play at home on Tuesday against Ridgeland.
