Lady Tigers fall to LaFayette

Sixth-ranked LaFayette scored eight runs in the third inning Wednesday evening and shutout visiting Adairsville 13-0 to complete a two-game series sweep.

The Lady Tigers managed only one hit. Alivia Joslin had a leadoff double in the first inning.

LaFayette (19-4, 14-3) finished with nine hits and took advantage of five defensive errors by the Tigers.

Adairsville (12-12, 4-11) hosts No. 1-ranked Heritage-Catoosa on Monday at 5:55 p.m.
