Lady Wildcats split; Lady Tigers and Lady Colonels each drop two matches

The Woodland volleyball team split matches on Tuesday night in Calhoun, defeating host Gordon Central in straight sets and losing to Chattooga in two sets.

Dayana Jaimes had six digs and two aces, Ava Lawler totaled 11 assists and five aces, and Emily Guin contributed five kills and five digs in the Lady Cats’ 25-15, 25-19 win over Gordon Central. Reese Martinak had four kills and four digs in the victory. Martinak also had five kills and five digs in the 12-25, 18-25 loss to Chattooga.

Woodland hosts Pickens and Paulding County on Thursday at 5 p.m.

The Cass volleyball team lost two matches Tuesday night at Murray County. The Lady Colonels lost 25-9 and 25-10 to the host Lady Indians, and fell 25-12, 25-6 to Northwest Whitfield.

Cass (0-2) visits Trion on Thursday at 5 p.m. and will also face Murray County.

The Adairsville volleyball team lost two matches Monday at Pickens High School, falling to Union County and host Pickens. Alexis Scott had four kills in each match for Adairsville. Sadie Brownlow contributed six digs against Union County, and Teaghan Myers totaled six assists against Union.

The Lady Tigers (0-4) host Dade County on Thursday at 5 p.m.
