More rain extends the delay to the Cartersville-Decatur second round playoff series

Another day of rain has further delayed the 2nd round Class 5A state playoff series for the Purple Hurricanes at Decatur. The Canes and Bulldogs were originally scheduled to begin their Sweet Sixteen playoff series Monday. The new schedule now pushes the series start back to a Wednesday doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m.

If a third game is necessary for the 4th-ranked Hurricanes and 2nd-ranked Decatur, it will be played at Decatur at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
