Rain delays the start of the Canes second round playoff series

Cartersville head baseball coach confirmed with Bartow Sports Zone this afternoon via text that the 2nd round Class 5A state playoff series for the Purple Hurricanes at Decatur has been postponed. The Canes are now scheduled to play at Decatur in a doubleheader Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m. in the best-of-three series.

If a third game is necessary for the 4th-ranked Hurricanes and the 2nd-ranked Bulldogs, it will be played at Decatur at 12 noon on Wednesday.
