Six-run fifth lifts Canes to win at Ringgold

The Purple Hurricanes rattled off five hits and took advantage of two walks and two hit batsmen in the fifth inning Tuesday night to post six runs on their way to a 6-2 win at Ringgold.
The big inning supported the pitching efforts of starter Caden Carroll (4 IP, 0R, 0H, 2BB, 8K) and relievers Geoffrey Gore (2 IP, 1ER, 1H, 0BB, 5K) and Dawson Bishop (1 IP, 1ER, 2H) who combined for 13 strikeouts.
Eight different Canes had one hit each. Luke Miller (2 RBIs), Harrison Childers, Pearse Mullinax (RBI), Tristan McKibben, Hunter Kelly (double), Isaac McNair-Seigler, Nicholas Hruby, and Paul Gamble had the Cartersville base hits. Caleb Daniel added one RBI with a bases-loaded walk.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 1-3 on the season.
Cartersville (3-0) plays at Kennesaw Mountain Thursday at 5:55 p.m.
