Smith named 7-AAAAA Player of the Year; 15 Bartow players receive All-Region recognition
The Region 7-AAAAA girls and boys basketball All-Region teams were released by the league's coaches on Friday.
Londaisha Smith of Cass was named the girls Player of the Year. Claire Davis and Haley Johnson of the Lady Colonels were also named to the All-Region First Team.
Ariana Hames of Cass and Jordan Thompson of Woodland made the All-Region Second Team. Lehla Thomas and Jamiya Moore of Cartersville were named Honorable Mention along with Keara McDaniel of Cass.
The Cass boys placed three players on the All-Region First Team. C.J. Pipkin, Braxton Benham, and Zaylan Chaney were all selected.
Kam Callahan and Robert Novak of Cartersville were named to the All-Region Second Team. Kolbe Benham of Cartersville and K.J. Rogers of Woodland received Honorable Mention.
