Soccer update: Cass girls and Adairsville girls collect wins

The Cass girls and the Adairsville girls soccer teams collected non-region wins on Tuesday night.
CASS GIRLS 3, RINGGOLD 0
The Lady Colonels led 1-0 at the intermission on a goal from freshman Malorie Rogers. Senior Elizabeth Remke was credited with an assist on the tally.
In the second half, Cass added an unassisted goal by Remke and a final goal by freshman Ryland Piatt off an assist from senior Rachel Ziemer.
The Lady Colonels (1-2) play at Pickens on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
ADAIRSVILLE GIRLS 5, PEPPERELL 2
The Lady Tigers led 3-1 at halftime on a goal by Jordyn Hartline and two by Alexa Damer.
Hartline’s opening goal came off her corner kick in the 7th minute. Damer cashed in in the 11th and 14th minutes off feeds from Maddie Gossett and Greer Cofield.
Adairsville’s second-half goals were scored by Gossett in the 41st minute off an assist from Damer and by Elle Causby in the 68th minute off an assist by Emma Ridley.
The Lady Tigers (3-1) play at Murray County on Friday at 5 p.m.
CASS BOYS 8, RINGGOLD 1
The Cass boys improved to 3-0-1 with an 8-1 win over Ringgold (1-1).
Cass plays at Pickens on Thursday at 7 p.m.
