Surcey, Clyburn win GSGA Mixed Team Championship

A pair of Cartersville Country Club golfers, Christina Surcey and R.B. Clyburn, captured the Georgia State Golf Association Mixed Team Championship this past weekend at Sea Island Golf Club.

Playing modified alternate shot Saturday and four-ball on Sunday, Surcey and Clyburn finished 11-under par firing a 68 on Saturday and carding a 63 on Sunday. The pair won by ten shots over Kit Creighton and Ty Hampel of Atlanta. Lisa and Terry Rush of Buford placed third at 3-over par for the 36-hole event.

The 2023 Mixed Team Championship included 60 teams and was conducted on the Plantation and Seaside Courses.
