Three Cartersville pitchers share no-hitter

Cartersville pitchers Zoie Shiflett, Presley Crabbe, and Izzy Tummins combined for a five-inning no-hitter Tuesday evening, blanking visiting Dalton, 11-0.

Shiflett made the start and struck out four in the first two innings. Crabbe had four strikeouts in the next two innings, and Tummins fanned one in the fifth.

Sam Porter had two hits for the Lady Canes. Emma Miller (two RBI), Avaree Sellers (two RBI), LaKiaya Banks (double, RBI), Kennedy Crenshaw (double), Carder Brock (double, RBI), Tummins (RBI), Shiflett (RBI), Taryn Bradley, and Miley Jo Williams added one hit. Emilee Brinson contributed a sacrifice fly and drove in two runs.

Cartersville (18-2, 11-2) hosts Cass on Thursday at 6 p.m.
