Woodland and Cartersville closed out three-game region sweeps of Calhoun and Cass Thursday night while Adairsville won the first game of a home-and-home region series with Coahulla Creek.
WOODLAND 3, CALHOUN 2
Host Calhoun scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning Thursday evening to take an early lead, but the Wildcats posted single runs in the third, fourth, and sixth innings to win 3-2 and complete a three-game series sweep of the Yellow Jackets.
