Tigers drop matches at Raider Rally
The Adairsville volleyball team had a tough go of it Saturday at the Southeast Whitfield Raider Rally. The Lady Tigers were winless on the day and won only one set in four matches.
In a 25-23, 25-15 loss to Northwest Whitfield, Jordyn Hartline and Jenna Claire Hendley had four kills each. Addie Pearson finished with six assists and eight digs while Sherry Wells had 14 digs.
Against Christian Heritage, the Tigers won the second set 25-19 but lost the opening set 25-18 and the third set 15-13. Cara Harp contributed four aces, nine assists, and nine digs. Pearson finished with five kills and 15 digs. Hendley totaled six kills and two blocks. Wells added 15 digs.
In a 26-24, 25-12 loss to Chattooga, Pearson had four kills, seven assists, eight digs, and one block. Hendley finished with five kills and one block. Wells made 10 digs and Hartline chipped in four kills.
In a narrow 25-22, 25-23 loss to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, Pearson contributed six kills, nine digs, four assists, and one block. Hartline had three aces and three kills. Jayna Wilson added three kills.
Adairsville (8-19, 1-2 Region 6-AAA) hosts Coahulla Creek and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Tuesday in region matches.
