Tigers drop second straight


Tre Winters scored 12 points for the Tigers in their home loss to Model Monday night.

After starting the season 5-0, the Adairsville boys have now dropped two straight games following Monday night’s non-region, home loss to the Model Blue Devils.

Model raced to a 23-8 lead in the first quarter and the host Tigers were never able to recover. The Blue Devils led 38-17 at halftime and 52-41 at the end of the third quarter on their way to a 14-point win.


Dane Fisher (17 points), Tamarius Heard (14 points), and Jeremias Heard (13 points) led the scoring attack for Model (6-2).


T.J. Printup scored a game-high 26 points to pace the Tigers. Tre Winters followed with 12 points. Zac Postell and Hayden Poarch scored five each. Zach Weaver and Tre Mitchell contributed four each while Jordan Carson rounded out the Adairsville scoring with one point. Adairsville (5-2) plays another non-region game Wednesday at Calhoun at 4:30 p.m.
