Tigers fall in double-overtime

The Adairsville boys basketball team fell in double overtime Wednesday evening at the Ridgeland Thanksgiving Classic in Rossville.

East Hamilton (TN) made a free throw with 1.1 remaining in the second overtime to score the deciding point in a 64-63 win.

The Tigers, who trailed 22-16, 35-29, and 43-35 at the end of the first three periods, rallied in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime.  After the teams matched scoring in the first extra session, the teams battled in a second four-minute overtime period.

Ashton Munson scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Hurricanes.

Adairsville was led by Tay Jackson who scored 11 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to help force the overtime. Ben Abernathy contributed 13 points and Zach Postell had 12 for the Tigers.

East Hamilton improved to 1-3 on the season.

Adairsville (0-2) will host Woodland on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:30 p.m.
