Tigers fall to Coahulla Creek

The Adairsville girls soccer team lost a 3-1 decision to Coahulla Creek Tuesday night in Tiger Valley and the loss will keep the Lady Tigers out of the state playoffs this season.

The visiting Lady Colts led 1-0 at the intermission and posted two more tallies in the second half.

Gabi Becerra scored the Adairsville goal off an assist from Elle Causby in the 59th minute.

Coahulla Creek improved 11-5 with their win and 5-2 in Region 6-AAA.

Adairsville (8-4-1, 4-4) will close out regular season play Friday with a non-region match at home against Mount Zion-Carroll at 5:30 p.m.

The visiting Colts improved to 8-5-3 and 6-1 in Region 6-AAA with a 4-0 win Tuesday night at Adairsville. Coahulla Creek will host Murray County Thursday night with an opportunity to host a state playoff game with a win over the Indians.

Adairsville (4-11, 1-7) wraps up the season Friday at home in a non-region match against Mount Zion-Carroll.
