Tigers host "Welcome to the Jungle" volleyball tournament

The Adairsville Volleyball team hosted their annual Welcome to the Jungle Tournament on Saturday and finished 2-3 in the event.

North Paulding won the tournament title with a victory over Pickens in the finals.

The Lady Tigers had wins over Coosa (25-19, 26-24) and Sonoraville (25-19, 21-25, and 18-16) during Saturday’s competition. Their losses were to North Paulding (16-25, 4-25), Pickens (18-25, 9-25), and Southeast Whitfield (15-25, 14-25).

"It was a good day of competition," noted Adairsville coach Kaylie Martin. "We know the win over Sonoraville was the first in at least 16 years for this program."

Adairsville (6-5) hosts Coosa and Sonoraville in a tri-match on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m.
