Tigers roll at Ridgeland, 42-7
Ethan Blome had three touchdown runs and the Adairsville Tigers cruised to a 42-7 win Friday night at winless Ridgeland.
Blome had first quarter scoring runs of 22-yards and 2-yards as the Tigers built a 21-0 lead in the opening period. Chris Roper also added a first quarter touchdown run from 7 yards out.
In the second quarter, Cade Copeland found the end zone on a 13-yard run giving the Tigers a 28-0 lead following Cooper Souders’ PAT kick.
Blome scored his third touchdown of the night early in the third quarter with a 4-yard run and backup quarterback Kolt McCord added the final Tigers’ touchdown late in the period with a 2-yard keeper to put Adairsville ahead, 42-0.
Ridgeland (0-7, 0-4) had the only points of the fourth quarter. The Panthers’ Chase Watkins scored on a 1-yard run midway through the final 12 minutes.
Adairsville (6-1, 4-0) has a bye week before returning home for an October 21 Region 6-AAA matchup with Gordon Lee.
