Tigers split matches with region opponents Tuesday


Adairsville volleyball beat Coahulla Creek in three sets Tuesday night and lost a two-set decision to LaFayette.

The Tigers won the middle set with Coahulla Creek 25-13, but dropped the opening set 25-15 and the third set 16-14. The Adairsville set losses to LaFayette were 25-10 and 25-12.

In the win over the Colts, Autumn Henderson had seven kills and six blocks. Haley Stiles totaled four kills and three blocks. Kaylee Jordan contributed 16 digs with four kills while Lexie Childers finished with 11 digs and six assists. Richlyn Blair added five service aces.

In the loss to LaFayette, Childers finished with three digs, three assists, two aces, a kill and a block. Madison Flemons had nine digs. Jordan added four digs and Blair contributed a pair of kills and one dig.

With the tri-match split, Adairsville is now 13-5-1 for the season and 2-1 in region play. The Tigers will host Ringgold and Murray County in region matches Thursday starting at 5 p.m.
