Willis, Henson help Reinhardt men's golf to 13th place finish at NAIA National Championship

Cartersville products Chanc Willis and Dalton Henson, both sophomores at Reinhardt University, helped the Eagles to a tie for thirteenth place this week at the NAIA Men’s Golf Championship in Silvis, Illinois.
The 72-hole national championship tournament was conducted at the 6,691-yard, par-71 TPC at Deere Run, site of the annual John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour.

Keiser University won the 2022 title with a four round total of 1130 (6-under-par). Dalton State (GA) was national runner-up with a 3-under-par 1133. Bellevue University (NE) (1148), Houston-Victoria (1155), and Ottawa University (AZ) (1157) rounded out the top five teams.
Reinhardt was one of four Georgia schools to finish in the top thirteen. Point University (1160) was 7th and Coastal Georgia (1172) was 12th.
Coastal Georgia is led by head coach Mike Cook, a Cartersville High product as well.
Jack Dudeck (The Master’s University) and Jakob Stavag Stubhaug (Keiser University) shared the individual title with 72-hole totals of 276 (8-under-par).
Willis shot 69-77-72-76 to finish tied for 51st. Henson finished with rounds of 79-75-77-76 to finish 87th.
Reinhardt was led by Hunter Clay who fired rounds of 70-68-73-72 for the Eagles and placed tenth.
