Wilson, Barclay earn Top Five spots at Myrtle Beach World Amateur

Cartersville senior amateur golfer Charles Wilson tied for third, and Cartersville’s Michael Barclay was fifth at the 2025 Myrtle Beach World Amateur 60-and-over scratch division golf tournament.

Wilson carded rounds of 74-72-75-75 and finished six shots behind tournament winner, Orlando Rodriguez of Miami, Florida. Greg Harney of Calabash, North Carolina, was runner-up and finished one shot ahead of Wilson. Barclay fired rounds of 78-68-81-75 to place fifth.

The 72-hole, 60-and-over scratch division was conducted on four courses in the Myrtle Beach area, including Myrtle Beach National-South Creek, Myrtlewood Golf Club-Palmetto, Tidewater Golf Club, and Aberdeen Country Club.
