Woodland and Adairsville volleyball teams add region wins on Tuesday

The volleyball teams at Woodland and Adairsville added region victories on Tuesday.

Woodland defeated visiting Cass 25-7 and 25-10, but lost to Cedartown in three sets, 18-25, 25-21, and 9-15. Cass also lost to Cedartown in the tri-match, 25-10 and 25-14.

The Lady Cats (9-22, 1-6) will face Union County and Pickens on Thursday in Jasper. Cass (2-23, 0-7) hosts Rockmart on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Adairsville outlasted host Ridgeland 25-13, 24-26, and 15-8 in a tightly contested three-set match. The Lady Tigers also fell to Heritage-Catoosa 8-25 and 15-25.

Alexis Scott had eight kills and one block in the win over Ridgeland. Ella Steward contributed four kills, two blocks, and nine digs. Myka Colston had four aces, seven kills, and seven digs. Nadelyn Dodson finished with 19 digs, while Alexa Wynn added ten digs and three aces.

In the loss to Heritage, Savannah Viktora had two kills, one block, and three digs. She added three kills in the win over Ridgeland. 

Adairsville (8-22, 2-6) visits Sonoravile on Thursday for a 6 p.m. start.
